The Las Vegas Raiders have secured the talents of cornerback Duke Shelley, who proved to be a formidable force in the Vikings’ defensive lineup towards the end of the regular season. The contract is said to be a one-year agreement worth a little over a million dollars.
Shelley was initially picked up by the Chicago Bears in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft and remained with the Bears organization for three years. After being released by the Bears during their final cuts last season, he was signed onto the Vikings’ practice squad. He was eventually elevated to the active roster in November and went on to start in five of the team’s last seven regular season games, as well as the playoff defeat against the Giants.
