Every team’s schedule has its downsides, even the 2023 Las Vegas Raiders. However, there are also some positives to their schedule. NFL analyst Warren Sharp recently highlighted a major advantage for the Raiders this season. He pointed out that they will play six games, which is over a third of their schedule, against teams coming off of playing on Monday Night Football. This is a huge advantage as no other team has faced more than four such games in a single season. So, while the Raiders’ schedule may not be perfect, they have a significant advantage that they can capitalize on.
Yes, it’s worth noting that playing against teams on short rest is not a guaranteed advantage. It’s possible that the teams the Raiders face will have enough talent to overcome the perceived “disadvantage”of playing on a shorter week. However, it’s still a favorable situation for the Raiders, and they should be able to use it to their advantage. The Raiders themselves may benefit from having extra rest before some of their games. Keep in mind Sharp listed The New Orleans Saints as the team with the easiest schedule and the Raiders with the second hardest Schedule but this little tidbit of information could be valuable for all my people in RaiderNation that from time to time like to place a wager or two.
